Free webinars offer a comprehensive look at U.S. beef industry
North Dakota State University Extension, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and West Virginia University teamed up to provide an educational overview of modern challenges in beef and cattle production.
The three university entities co-hosted a 15-part webinar series, titled Intersection of the Cattle and Beef Industries, to deliver “an accurate, science- and evidence-based overview of the U.S. beef industry.”
The webinar series began May 7 and will conclude June 25 with an episode on drop credit, hide and offal. However, all episodes have been recorded, and previous episodes are available to watch at any time through NDSU’s Livestock Extension website.
Webinar topics range from raising cattle to selling beef products, and past episodes have covered trade, industry history, cattle pricing and direct marketing. Farm Credit of the Virginias has helped advertise the series locally, and content is marketed for an audience of beef and cattle producers, consumers and industry executives.
Webinars are 2 hours long and are free to join. All episodes are aired through Zoom and are live at 6 p.m. EST. Registration is required to participate in the webinars.
